The Flash

Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian -- albeit not the one he's looking for.

WOW!  A DC movie that actually delivered?   Can't be!   Has hell frozen over?  I am stunned at how much I enjoyed this movie.  The story was great.  The action was great.  The nostalgia with Michael Keaton as Batman was great.   And most of all - Ezra Miller did an incredible job.   Completely stunned that I really liked this movie.  I even waited a day before writing this because I figured that it would fade but it hasn't.  My only issue is with WB's marketing/hype team as always.  They kept saying this would reset the DC Universe and that the end credit scene would explain it all.  And I really didn't feel either of those things.  Like at all.

I would actually recommend people checking this out.  It was a really enjoyable watch.  I'm shocked.

No Hard Feelings

On the brink of losing her childhood home, a desperate woman agrees to date a wealthy couple's introverted and awkward 19-year-old son before he leaves for college.

This was a pretty good watch.  Although it had some hysterically raunchy moments it was not the all out raunchy comedy that I thought it would be.  It ended up developing a heart and becoming a nice/sweet movie.  Doesn't mean it was no good.  Just not really what it was advertised as.

I would recommend people checking this movie out for some pretty good laughs and it does leave you feeling good.  There is also one HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK scene in it that is priceless.

The Blackening

Seven friends go away for the weekend, only to find themselves trapped in a cabin with a killer who has a vendetta. They must pit their street smarts and knowledge of horror movies against the murderer to stay alive.

This is yet another movie that you basically saw just by watching the trailer.  Were there some laughs?  Definitely.  Were there enough to carry the whole movie?   Definitely not.

I would not really recommend people checking this out.  It's not awful but it's not really that good either.

Asteroid City

World-changing events spectacularly disrupt the itinerary of a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention in an American desert town circa 1955.

I will never understand the love for Wes Anderson movies.   They are always critically acclaimed and all of Hollywood loves being in these but they are garbage.   I try every time and without fail I am bored, not hooked and watching like why the hell are they all in this and why do people love this.   Completely baffling.

I would clearly not recommend people checking this out but if you somehow like Wes Anderson movies then I'm sure this one will be great for you too.

The Machine

The past comes back to haunt Bert Kreischer when a murderous mobster tries to kidnap him to atone for his crimes. With help from his estranged father, Bert must retrace the steps of his younger self as a sociopathic crime family goes to war.

This movie is exactly what you would think it was from the trailer.  A silly and pointless action comedy based off of Bert Kreischer's comedy material.  It is immediately forgettable after watching it.  Honestly it's forgettable while watching it.

I would not recommend that anyone bother with this.   It's basically a waste of time and just served as background noise while I did other stuff.

Fast X

Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto and his family have outsmarted and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they must confront the most lethal opponent they've ever faced. Fueled by revenge, a terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past to shatter Dom's world and destroy everything -- and everyone -- he loves.

I am well aware of the fact that these movies are so over the top and out of control at this point.  But honestly - I don't care.  I love me a good popcorn movie and this movie massively delivers on that.  The crowd popping over and over again for characters showing up and oh shit moments.   And Jason Momoa was AWESOME as the bad guy.   Had me laughing my ass off every time he was on screen.

I would absolutely recommend everything just shut their brain off and check this out.   It is another very enjoyable adrenaline ride in the franchise.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3

Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Finally a Marvel movie that fully felt like a Marvel movie since Infinity War.  There have been some good intros and some good flashback movies and Black Panther 2 was awesome but it felt pretty sad at times.   This one though had that Marvel fun ass roller coaster feeling.   And more importantly it fixed the error of the 2nd one with not having them on screen for extended periods of time.   I very much enjoyed this movie even though I could have done without the animal testing.   It was an excellent wrap up to this group's travels and I like that it was done in a way that some could continue and what not.

I would definitely recommend people checking this out.   It was a very enjoyable watch and a massive return to form for Marvel which has been struggling a lot more than usual post Infinity War.

About My Father

Encouraged by his fiancee, a man and his father spend the weekend with her wealthy and exceedingly eccentric family. The gathering soon develops into a culture clash, allowing father and son to discover the true meaning of family.

This movie is literally just an extension of the trailer.  That's not to say that it's bad at all.  I enjoyed it alot because of the two leads.  The chemistry between them was great but the trailer could have held back a little for there to be much bigger laughs seeing scenes for the first time in the actual movie.

I would still recommend anyone looking for a decent comedy check this out.  It's very formula and predictable but still enjoyable.
