After India's (Wasikowska's) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
This is a movie that could have been pretty cool if they didn't try so hard to make it artsy creepy. The artsyness of it really took away and made me bored with the movie and by the time it picked up and got somewhat good I was too disconnected from the movie to care at all.
I wouldn't really recommend that people waste their time with this. There is a reason why it never got a wide release.
