An Inconvenient Truth offers a look at one man's commitment to expose the myths and misconceptions that surround global warming and inspire actions to prevent it. That man is former Vice President Al Gore, who, in the wake of defeat in the 2000 election, re-set the course of his life to focus on helping save the planet from irrevocable change.
I think that this movie should be enstated as a must watch in our educational system at the high school level. It was very interesting and beyond informative. It's not the type of movie that you can recommend based on entertainment value so I won't even bother with that. I do think it's the type of movie that everyone should see, but unfortunately think that unless it effects a vast majority of those who see it - the desired effect will never be reached.
The only problem that I had with the movie was how Al Gore continually pointed fingers at the current administration needing to do this and that when the two administrations that he was a part of are just as accountable for the current state of concern about the environment. Other than those occasional cheap shots - I thought that Al Gore and this movie were phenomenal.
