- The Conspirator is a period drama based on true events following the assassination of President Lincoln. Wright Penn will play Mary Surratt, the only woman among a group charged with conspiring to kill the president. McAvoy will play Frederick Aiken, an idealistic young war hero who reluctantly defends Surratt and in the process comes to believe she is innocent.
- This movie was one of those historical snoozers. I tried really hard to care but couldn't and pretty much stopped paying attention about 1/2 way through because it was just a bunch of people huffing and puffing in a courtroom for what seemed like forever.
- I wouldn't recommend anyone wasting their time with this unless they are die hard history buffs and know all the blowhard bla blas that I found boring as hell.
